EVA Pharma launches EVA Pharma Oncology to Support Critical Medicines Sustainable Access

Cairo, Egypt- 4 November 2025- EVA Pharma launched a specialized oncology sector, the press conference was attended by His Excellency Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population; Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Head of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA); Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Head of the Healthcare Authority; Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, Assistant Minister of Health and Population and the Ministry's Official Spokesperson; and a number of experts and specialists.

 

EVA Pharma oncology will work on producing immunotherapy hematology and oncology treatments with an annual production capacity nearing 22 million packs annually. This will be achieved by introducing 7 products into the Egyptian market and for export, with plans to introduce 11 new treatments in the upcoming period.

Dr. Riad Armanious, CEO of EVA Pharma, stated that the launch represents a new national milestone in the company's journey and embodies its commitment to supporting the Egypt’s 2030 vision for healthcare system and expanding access to advanced treatments for oncology patients in Egypt and the MENA region.

Dr. Riad Armanious extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Drug Authority, and the Healthcare Authority for their continuous support and tremendous efforts to develop Egypt's healthcare system. He emphasized that the support from the political leadership and officials from the ministries and health authorities in Egypt is the true driving force behind the national achievements witnessed today in the medical and pharmaceutical sector.

He added, "Cancer remains one of the most difficult challenges a patient and their family face. In this battle, the presence of strong national leadership makes a real difference. And  at EVA Pharma, we are proud to be part of this collaborative effort. "

Dr. Riad Armanious affirmed that EVA Pharma considers itself a national partner in achieving the state's health goals. He added, "We work hand in hand with the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Drug Authority, the Healthcare Authority, and all our partners in the public and private sectors to ensure the sustainability of these efforts and expand their impact. Success in this system is not achieved by a single party alone but is built on cooperation and integration among all."

 

He continued, "Over the past seven years, we have invested in developing an integrated oncology sector and have successfully developed 18 specialized products for treating various types of cancer, including breast, lung, colon, and blood cancers. Some of these are currently available in the markets, and others will be launched soon. Through these products, we contribute to treating thousands of patients annually within Egypt."

 

He added that these efforts are implemented through the company's advanced manufacturing facility, which holds EU-GMP certification, with an annual production capacity of 22 million packs. He explained that the company's production capacity exceeds the needs of the local market, allowing Egypt to become a regional hub for exporting oncology drugs to Arab, African, and international markets.
