Jeddah, Saudi Arabia&nbsp;—&nbsp;February 6, 2025 – 7 Sha’ban 1446,&nbsp;As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors, EVA Pharma, one of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East and Africa, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Batterjee Medical College. This partnership aims to support medical education, enhance scientific research, and develop healthcare services in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to foster cooperation between academia and industry to benefit society and expand exports across various sectors.

Dr. Amgad Talaat, Regional Cluster Head of EVA Pharma in Saudi Arabia, stated that EVA Pharma will collaborate with Batterjee Medical College on joint scientific research, focusing on healthcare and pharmaceuticals—particularly chronic and rare diseases. The partnership will also implement research projects with a positive impact on public health, support academic and training programs, and establish specialized training initiatives to equip students and researchers with modern research techniques, including big data analysis and artificial intelligence applications in pharmaceuticals.
He added that the collaboration will include organizing scientific events such as conferences and workshops to raise health awareness and promote innovation in healthcare. Additionally, it will provide internship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to enhance their practical skills and prepare them for the job market.
Dr. Talaat emphasized the importance of knowledge and expertise exchange between both parties, facilitating scientific and technological cooperation through specialized consultations.
Dr. Ikhlas Sindi, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Director of the Scientific Research Unit at Batterjee Medical College, highlighted that the college will work with EVA Pharma to establish joint research teams comprising faculty members and EVA Pharma experts. This will ensure the integration of academic knowledge and industry expertise, with a focus on publishing research in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences.
She added that the areas of collaboration will include training students and researchers in advanced technologies such as big data analytics and artificial intelligence in pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, the partnership will provide specialized training programs in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality management, and medical product marketing, alongside workshops and training courses for academic staff to keep them updated with the latest industry advancements. The initiative will also support leadership and management skill development for students and faculty members.
Both parties expressed their commitment to achieving tangible outcomes from this collaboration, ultimately benefiting society and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position in healthcare and scientific research.
