MAPRA Objectives:


The objectives of Mounir Armanious Pharmaceutical Research Awards (MAPRA) are to annually underpin applied industry-oriented researches and encourage and motivate pharmacists and researchers all over Egypt to use their abilities in the field of pharmaceutical Research and Development, helping the pharmaceutical industry and the health care in Egypt to secure a healthier society.

Eligibility:


MAPRA awards are for pharmacists and researchers in the Egyptian Universities and National Research Center. Applicants should be affiliated to any of the above entities.

MAPRA for pharmacists:


Topic:
“A creative initiative/idea that would lead to the development in a current practice of Nanotechnology application in a drug delivery system”.

Number of awards: Three

Maximum age for applicants of this award 25 years.

MAPRA for researchers:


Researchers shall send to Eva Pharma his/her Master/PhD details.

The proposal should include the following:

  • Title of thesis
  • Background
  • Aim of work
  • Experimental work (according to availability)
    * Materials
    * Methods
    * Experimental Design
  • Comparative data
  • A complete timeframe plan
  • Expected/Actual results
  • Approval of the research ethical committee, if available.
  • Approval of his/her Department that the study complies with the Department Research Plan, if available.

Number of awards: One

Maximum age of applicants for this award 32 years.

General conditions:

  • The work should not be receiving other financial support for this research work.
  • All Research work that can be done at Eva PHARMA R&D Labs should be done there.
  • Eva Pharma has the right to stop the financial support if it sees that the researcher doesn't give the work top priority.

General rules for both awards:

  • The research must have a direct impact on the Pharmaceutical industry in Egypt.
  • The research should improve the quality of life.
  • Applicable in Egypt and tailored to the Egyptian health needs.

MAPRA prizes for pharmacists:

  • 1st prize: 25,000 L.E.
  • 2nd prize: 10,000 L.E.
  • 3rd prize: 10,000 L.E.

MAPRA prize for researchers:

  • Monthly scholarship 3,000 L.E. as a financial aid for up to a maximum of 3 years.
  • Fully sponsorship for all needed degree expenses.
  • Offered an employment opportunity in the R&D Department in Eva Pharma.

Application of researches:

  • Send in a sealed envelope all the above mentioned requirements to 176 El Sadat Street, Mansouria,
    Kafr El Gabal, Haram, Giza, Egypt (Attention Dr. Ramy Wilson).
  • Attach your updated CV.
  • Attach a CD with a copy of all documents.
  • Interested applicants should submit their research by maximum 28th of February 2011.
